Ah, muffins, this reminds me of the chocolates last year. WHEN will these students learn (oh, I know, with the exception of my house... never), HOUSE ELVES ARE FREE FOR TESTING. They *have* to do what you tell them to. They're HONORED to test your food for you. It's their JOB.


I like to give them extra grief when they complain. For delaying my plans.

Well, seems like intresting things do happen at hogwarts.
To bad I wasnt there to enjoy them.
I do think this year is going to be a good one.


(Not as good as the year Zuko graduates---which at his rate may happen after mine. But good.)

So far this summer has been very uncomfortable. I return home after finding that I am unwelcome no matter where I go (honestly, it's like no one knows WHO I AM, they should be more welcoming and accommodating--it seems like no one knows how to properly treat a guest in this era), to find that the house elves have been slacking and I must properly scold them MYSELF in order to make them attend to the mess they ignored in my room while I was away. In the debris of old messages I find out there's a Hogwarts Summer festival going on NOW. Father and I could still make it for the last few days, but I doubt he would do anything with me.

Also, there's a wilting rose in my room, the house elves will remember what it means to feel pain for this.

WELL this summer has been completely and unbearably uneventful.

And I'm running out of house elves. Is it really that hard to bring my mail when I ask for it?

This island is painfully boring. I'm thirsty. I think I'll go for some tea.

Why do people get so upset when you knock down their sand castle? If I don't do it, high tide will.

My salamander must have ran off today in search of less sunny places, he has been acting funny ever since we got here. It's around the same time of year all my others pets have disappeared too. I always thought it was Zuko's fault, it probably still is.

If I have to see these old hags in bathing suits again, something horrible is going to happen.

As I thought, father sent me straight to the island.

It seems someone had the most brilliant idea of inviting the parents to see us in school. Some of these muggles are a tragedy, hopefully they'll be scared out of letting their children return next year. I'll be sure to do my part. They didnt even lower their eyes to the SIGHT of my father, Lord Ozai. You'd think even a muggle could recognize such greatness.

Father seems to have some concerns if this is the muck I'm to be around, but I ASSURED him that my skills have not been dampened. Once I showed him the common room, he felt much more assured everything would be ok--how I feel every time I return here.

I find myself actually HOPING to pass Zuko, just so he's reminded what it's to be like, ONCE again in the shadow of MY glory.

I'll be glad to be back in the company of real witches and wizards soon...



Although I'm not sure what I'll do this summer, I suppose I could practice or study but I'm already good at everything--so that's not really much of a priority. If my father tries to get rid of me by sending me to the island, I'll have to find ways to make it entertaining. That is if they allow me back on the island...

I'm still extremely disappointed towards Slytherin's performance. To Hufflefluff of all houses, this is an outrage. How about this... Slytherin, you could win against my brothers house, or something horrible and unspeakable could happen to you, so do the right thing.




Thank goodness this will be over soon. We all know in real life our leniency and status will effect how far we get.

This is why I prefer it that the house elves taste test all my food before I consume it.

I am glad I have no weaknesses, even for chocolate.

My ungrateful spotted salamander continues to show no promise of glory. I named him in honor of my father, Ozai, and still it continues to show no interest in fire or pepper. Such a let down. By the looks of it I should change it's name to something more fitting, perhaps after my fuddy duddy Uncle Iroh, or my failure for a brother Zu-Zu. Would you like some tea Ozai?

I should spend my time on more important things, like my magic. Verdimillous.

Every time I see my brother in the hallways, I feel bad for the image he's giving on our family by being in Ravenclaw. Mostly becuase Slytherin is the house where great wizards and witches are made, and I think he's going to disappoint our father by being mediocre at best. You have to surround yourself by really powerful people if you yourself ever hope to be powerful, or even better, stay powerful.
